More than half of abortions in the U.S. now involve two “abortion pills,” Mifepristone and Misopristol. It is currently legal in NY for retail pharmacies to mail abortion pills with a prescription via tele-health. CVS and Walgreens have already obtained their certification to dispense abortion pills. Walgreens started providing medication abortions in NY. Giant retail pharmacies are more likely to undergo the expensive certification process than independent privately owned family pharmacies. Chemical abortion kills human beings and increases health risks for women. Retail pharmaceutical sale of abortion pills is deadly for unborn children and harmful for women. As long as privately owned pharmacies continue to resist selling abortion pills we will continue to PROMOTE AND SUPPORT them. • LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY | FCLNY

LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY FCLNY organizes and participates in both direct and grassroots lobbying on targeted policy issues as well as coordinated media outreach. FCLNY is non-partisan, but works with diverse ideological and/or religious organizations that align with our goals. New York State Medical Aid in Dying Act NY Enacted MAID Feb., 6, 2026 Bills passed and signed, A09515, S8835 MAID goes into effect, Aug., 5, 2026 Update on the Status of Medication Abortion in the U.S. and NYS In FDA vs. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (2024), "The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled to preserve access to the abortion pill mifepristone, a pill used in the most common way to end a pregnancy." "Thousands of women in states with abortion bans and restrictions are receiving abortion pills in the mail from states that have laws protecting prescribers," including New York. It is currently legal for medical providers and certified retail pharmacies to mail abortion pills to women and girls with a prescription via tele-health in NY. Under the current rules surrounding chemical abortion, pregnant women and girls can "take the medication to induce an abortion through 10 weeks of pregnancy," and without a pre-abortion ultrasound. Read High Court's Opinion Here! The RHA Degrades Women and Dehumanizes Children. New York enacted the Reproductive Health Act (RHA) in January, 2019. This law allows for the killing of viable unborn children, including healthy children in utero, for any reason within 24 weeks of pregnancy. Modern medical science is clear that unborn children can be viable (capable of survival outside the womb) as early as 21 weeks gestation. The RHA permits killing viable unborn children, including healthy children in utero, during the later-second and third trimester of pregnancy for reasons unrelated to a mother's physical health. In NY, approximately 1,600 unborn children are aborted each year at 20+ weeks gestation. Studies show most later-term abortions are 'elective,' performed on healthy pregnant women and healthy unborn children. The RHA did away with NY's longstanding fetal homicide law. Because of the RHA it is no longer a separate crime in NY for abusers to kill viable unborn children, including wanted unborn children, in attacks on their mothers. The RHA allows for an undefined group of health care practitioners to perform abortions, including surgical, second and third trimester abortions. Studies show that even mid-level health care providers that perform abortions have higher rates of “incomplete abortion,” uterine “perforation” and “hemorrhage” than physicians performing abortions. The RHA eradicated NY Public Health Law (PHL) 4164, without enacting any form of replacement. In NY, later-second and third trimester abortions can occur in facilities other than hospitals, ambulatory centers or physicians' offices. According to studies, including, Risk Factors for Legal Induced Abortion-Related Mortality in the United States, the "risk of death" for "women obtaining legally induced abortions" "increase[s] exponentially by 38% for each additional week of gestation.” Further, eliminating PHL 4164 allows for infants who survive abortion to die without adequate "medical care" or without a second physician present to care for that infant. According to the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention children are sometimes born alive during later-term induced abortions. See FCLNY's RHA Report. International World Beyond War Declaration of Peace FCLNY Organizational Signer We seek positive and sustainable peace, founded on justice “We understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. We commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.” Please read and consider signing with us as an individual or organization. The Joint Appeal was presented on September 26 to world leaders, including those participating in the UN High Level Meeting on Nuclear Disarmament, on September 26. The appeal calls on them to reduce nuclear risks and prevent nuclear war, shift nuclear weapons budgets and investments to protect the environment and meet human and economic needs, and achieve the global elimination of nuclear weapons within a strict timeframe. Other organizational signers include Asia Pacific Leadership Network, Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, International Peace Bureau, Movement for the Abolition of War (UK), and Peace Action (USA), among many others. • MISSION & PURPOSE / STAFF & BOARD | FCLNY

MISSION & PURPOSE Feminists Choosing Life of New York is a human rights coalition that educates on the impacts and root causes of publicly sanctioned lethal violence, including violent military action, abortion, assisted suicide and capital punishment. Like the early feminist suffragists, FCLNY engages in grassroots activism and embraces the core principles of non-violence and non-discrimination. We promote the consistent life ethic and whole-life feminism. POSITION PAPERS FEMINISM ABORTION ASSISTED DYING CAPITAL PUNISHMENT , Violent Military Action There are currently more than 100 active armed conflicts occurring worldwide, according to the Geneva Academy , including in Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Egypt, Nigeria, Somalia, India, Philippines, Mexico, Columbia, Pakistan, China, Afghanistan and the Central African Republic. Armed conflict most severely impacts women and children. S t atistics illustrate 468 million children live in armed conflict zones worldwide. Women and girls are more likely to become targets of sexual violence during armed conflict and constitute the majority of displaced people and refugees worldwide. Violent military action greatly disrupts essential social services for families. More than 7.6 million children under the age of 5 (living in war zones with U.S. involvement) are suffering from “acute malnutrition.” FCLNY CONDEMNS ALL FORMS OF VIOLENCE AGAINST HUMAN BEINGS, INCLUDING LETHAL WEAPONRY , RAPE, TORTURE, STARVATION, ABUSE, NEGLECT AND BRUTALITY. FCLNY LEADERSHIP Michele Sterlace-Accorsi, JD, LLM Executive Director Michele graduated magna cum laude from New York University. While a mother of four young children, Michele completed her Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law, cum laude , with a concentration in Law and Social Justice. Michele grew up experiencing poverty and homelessness. She began her legal career as a trial attorney for those seeking custody of abused and neglected children. She continued this work at the Children’s Legal Center in Buffalo, serving as a children’s attorney. Michele advanced her studies by attending the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. While a student at Pepperdine, she worked in the U.S. District Court, WNY as a Confidential Judicial Law Clerk for the Chief Justice. She also assisted the mediation program director with prisoner rights cases and other civil litigation for the disenfranchised. In 2017, she graduated with a Master of Laws LLM, High Honors, from Pepperdine. Michele is the paradigm of a pro-life feminist, a role model for equal opportunities for the poor, for women and their children, born and unborn. Emily Karol, BS Digital Media Specialist Emily is proud to call Western New York her home. She began her involvement with FCLNY as a policy intern during the summer of 2021 and the passion and purpose behind the movement has stuck with her. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Communication Arts from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She graduated magna cum laude in with the senior departmental award after 2 years of serving as officer and one year as president of the university’s business academic chapter. Post-graduation, Emily spent many months in Orlando, FL working for Walt Disney World. However, she missed the Buffalo snow so much that she moved back up north and began serving with FCLNY. Emily has always been passionately pro-life, growing up with a family of 8 and being born at 25 weeks herself. She believes strongly in the consistent life ethic and especially the work of FCLNY. Emily has also served as an FCLNY voting board member since January, 2025. GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGNS FCLNY conducts grassroots outreach, including public forum canvassing, college and community petition and sign drives, paid billboard and radio ads / commentary. GET INVOLVED “Published research summaries by the Charlotte Lozier Institute.” Fact Sheet: Risks and Complications of Chemical Abortion. Public Health Threat: Chemical Abortion Leads to Significantly Higher Rate of ER Visits. Chemical abortion is associated with measurable medical risks, including hemorrhage, infection, incomplete abortion, and increased emergency-room utilization compared with surgical abortion. Drawing from peer-reviewed studies and analysis of large healthcare claims data, the Institute’s findings indicate that complications requiring follow-up care are more common than often assumed and highlight concerns about unsupervised use, inaccurate gestational dating, and missed ectopic pregnancies. Together, these analyses argue that chemical abortion carries significant public-health considerations that warrant careful medical oversight and informed policy evaluation. Chemical abortion has a complication rate four times that of surgical abortion, and as many as one in five women will suffer a complication. Three to seven out of every hundred women who choose chemical abortion early in pregnancy will need follow-up care to finish the abortion, with as many as 7-10% needing follow-up care in the first trimester after 63 days of pregnancy and up to 39% requiring surgery if the regimen is accidentally taken in the second trimester. “The safety of chemical abortion is greatly exaggerated. In fact, the increasing dominance of chemical abortion and its disproportionate contribution to emergency room morbidity is a serious public health threat, and the real-world data suggests the threat is growing. “Women are far more likely to visit the emergency room following a chemical rather than surgical abortion. The rate of these emergency room visits is growing remarkably fast. It is therefore terrifying that the FDA is actively being pressured to eliminate longstanding public health safeguards on the abortion pill. This comprehensive data advocates for the FDA to strengthen, rather than weaken, medical oversight of chemical abortion.” Dr. James Studnicki, Charlotte Lozier Institute's vice president of data analytics. More than half of all abortions that occur in the U.S. are performed chemically, involving two “abortion pills,” Mifepristone and Misopristol. Pregnant mothers and their unborn children deserve the kindest, most tender, effective and comprehensive support. Abortion is violence. It destroys human life and increases women's risks of a multitude of health problems, including substance abuse, depression and anxiety. We can do better. We must do more to help fragile families everywhere. Join the growing pro-life feminist movement at FCLNY.ORG " PSA IX “Did you know? New York’s abortion rate is double the national average, with over 250 abortion providing facilities within its borders, more than nearly every state. Contrary to pro-choice messaging, women do not need abortion. Instead, women need life-affirming resources, including affordable-accessible child care, better paid parental leave, prenatal child support and expanded child tax credits. Without options there can be no choice. Join the growing pro-life, pro-woman movement with Feminists Choosing Life of New York at FCLNY.ORG.” PSA X "Did you know that the architects of the women’s suffrage movement in the U.S. were pro-life? Abortion rights did not become central to mainstream feminism until the late 1960’s sexual revolution. The early feminists embraced non-violence as the core principle of equality and nondiscrimination. Our feminist foremothers recognized the violence of abortion, and the need to support pregnant women. Pro-life feminism protects vulnerable human beings and empowers women, children and families, at every stage of development. Join the growing pro-woman, pro-life movement with Feminists Choosing Life of New York at FCLNY.ORG ." PSA XI “Did you know? According to scientific consensus , human beings begin their existence at conception. Abortion ends the lives of children. Women do not need to destroy their offspring in order to achieve. Life brings hope and strength! We must continue helping women facing unplanned pregnancies. Believe women harmed by abortion. Join the growing pro-life feminist movement with Feminists Choosing Life of New York at FCLNY.ORG” PSA XII Did you know there are more pregnancy resource centers than abortion clinics in New York? Pregnancy Centers VALUE BOTH mother and child, and provide life affirming care to BOTH. Many centers help mothers apply for affordable housing, child care assistance and health insurance and directly give families essential goods including cribs, strollers, car seats, clothes and infant formula, many offer referrals to more resources, such as nutrition programs, parenting classes, and adoption services. Join the growing Pro-Life Feminist Movement at FCLNY.ORG , and share our list of Pregnancy Resource Centers. PSA XIII Chemical abortions now comprise most U.S. abortions, ending unborn lives and potentially risking women’s health. The FDA warns of dangerous, possible complications including hemorrhage and infection, and insurance data heightens concerns. Abortion pills destroy lives and create health risks for women. For more information, reach out to Feminists Choosing Life of New York. ORG. PSA XIV Is abortion really safe? We don’t know. Despite the seriousness of abortion as a medical intervention, New York fails to require the Department of Health, or any state agency, to specifically track or publicly report abortion complications, leaving the state without a transparent system to monitor outcomes or ensure accountability. The federal government also lacks a mandatory reporting system for abortion complications. Responsible healthcare does not lack oversight of health risks, nor does it intentionally destroy human lives. Abortion is not healthcare. Paid for by Feminists Choosing Life of NY, FCLNY.ORG .
