About the Event

Description:The Sacred Dance Collective of CNY, and Trinity Church’s Arts Café happily invite you to join us in the Dances of Universal Peace. These dances are meditative, multi-ethnic, simple circle dances and chants derived from many world faiths. Their intention is to promote peace, joy, diversity and community. The experience is as participatory as you are able, with everyone welcome. The movements and songs are easy to do. Joy and loving community are the goals - not technical performance. Dancing of this kind is seen as an opportunity to develop our spiritual awareness through connection with the embodied divine in ourselves and each other. Dances of Universal Peace are done worldwide, and we are very fortunate to again welcome, dance master, Jim Leff, from the Rochester area, to lead us. There is no fee, but donations are greatly appreciated. Information or questions contact: Deborah Welsh, 315-479-7718
