About the Event

Hello, we are the Refugee Helping Refugee Committee. Our mission is to raise awareness about circumstances that arise within our community. As you all may be aware, April is sexual awareness month. We wanted to dedicate this time to spreading awareness about women who suffered and are suffering from sexual assault, domestic violence, mental and physical abuse. We are super excited to launch our project, Break Free. Break free is an project that has a mission to raise awareness for women who’ve encountered sexual abuse and domestic abuse. Break Free will give the opportunity to women to speak about their personal experiences with these issues and set themselves free. We plan on hosting an event and have panelists willing to speak out about their experiences and obstacles. Join us on May 20th at 11 am-2 pm to hear the unheard and help them find the justice they've sought for years.
