Welcome Michele Sterlace-Accorsi, FCLNY Executive Director

Michele Sterlace-Accorsi grew up experiencing poverty and, at times, homelessness.  She quit high school when she was 17.  She later earned her GED and graduated magna cum laude from New York University, while working full-time.  While a mother of four young children, at age 37, Michele’s experiences inspired her to advocate for vulnerable populations.  She completed her Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law.

Sunday Salons: Meeting Together in the True Feminist Spirit

The Sunday Salon, a tradition of sitting down to tea to discuss issues of the day, was established during the Victorian Era.  While some may use divisive issues to pit women against each other, we know the modern woman is too smart for that nonsense, we embrace discussion!  Taking a page from our Victorian fore-mothers, we offer an opportunity for respectful, private and equally represented dialogue.

How often do we hold Sunday Salons? As often as we can!
