FCLNY raises public awareness on topics relevant to publicly sanctioned lethal violence, including abortion, war, the death penalty, assisted suicide, euthanasia and other forms of violence such as human trafficking.
FCLNY educates the public of the impact of these issues on women and culture.
Further, FCLNY informs populations and fosters public discourse on the root causes and solutions of systemic violence facing women. FCLNY also reveals inconsistencies within the constructs of pro-choice feminism and aims to advance common ground.
FCLNY seeks to return to the grassroots of pro-life feminism through education and activism.
MISSION & VISION
In the tradition of early American feminists, such as Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Feminists Choosing Life of New York operates from the core ideals of justice, nondiscrimination and nonviolence to protect women and all children, including the unborn, from violence.
Michele Sterlace-Accorsi graduated magna cum laude from New York University. While a mother of four young children, Michele’s childhood experiences with familial poverty inspired her to advocate for vulnerable populations. She completed her Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law and her Master of Laws degree from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School.
